"and we see as a level of protection for Police Officer s who have no right or ability to take Industrial action, should our Pay and Conditions or Pensions be attacked in our view unfairly, is very disturbing."

Well after Jaquie Smith stuffed us over pay I think your members balloted for the Federation to look into getting the right to strike. As far as I am aware the Federation stopped doing what the members had voted for at the same time as aggreeing that fantastic 3 year pay deal - "inflation will be under 0%, it's a good deal".

Please don't winge about not having the right to strike when your members gave you the mandate to move towards it but you did nothing

I fully understand that regulations were brought in to protect officers from unreasonable practices but, surely in these times of financial constraints and with an approach of lets all pull together we should be flexible. The service could have put a blanket cancelation of rest days for the festival. The officers that would rather claim the overtime should maybe consider how they would feel if their jobs were being threatened with redundancy as a result of the budget cuts. If we all looked at how we could save the constabulary money then some of our support staff jobs might be secured.

I am grateful to members of your Federation supporting our call for more potential Organ Donors to register on our designated web site. For those who are unaware of my past, I too, was a serving police office with the Ministry of Defence Police of some 22 years and for the last 13 of those years and prior to taking medical retirement, rose through the ranks of our own Police Federation to become General Secretary with an office in London. During my time with the Federation, I was fortunate enough to have attended many of your National Conferences, also those of the British Transport and RUC Police Federations and always received am extremely warm welcome.
Being the longest surviving Heart Transplant recipient in the UK and possibly Europe, it would be amiss of me, not to lend my hand to the campaign, promoting the need for more organ donors to register, so that someone like myself, facing an uncertain future and possibly death, could receive that precious "Gift of Life". I trully thank you for your support.

Within the last 4 weeks I have received a court warning on an annual leave day (annual leave being on my MG10 months before) and another court warning on a night duty. Again night duty on my MG10 due to childcare commitments which would cost me money should I have to change shift. This is NOT the first time this has occured and I am sure many other officers are in the same boat. I am not sure if this is a conspiracy or not, but it certainly makes a change from a court warning on my RD's! Updating the unify system is not easy and I am sure with todays technology it could be re-designed? Why can they not use our new DMS? We do like making work for ourselves and duplicating things... Twice...
